Failed Documents

Sometimes documents receive a “Failed” status. In this article, we present the most common issues that cause this error.

Exceeded platform limits

To be processed successfully, each document must meet specific platform requirements. If any of the following limits are not met, the document will be marked as Failed.

Platform requirements:

  • Delivery format: base64 encoded string

  • Supported MIME types for automated processing: pdf, jpg, png, tiff

  • Supported MIME types for manual processing: any, must be defined in the Upload Profile.

  • Maximum page count: 400

  • Minimum file size: 100 bytes (anything smaller is assumed to be corrupted)

  • Maximum file size: 20 MB

Incidents

Sometimes, during various incidents on our platform, documents may become stuck during processing and later move to the Failed status.

In case of such issues, we recommend:

Classification Thresholds Not Reached

During the document processing stage, it is possible that the classification thresholds defined in your Upload Profile were not reached. As a result, the document received the status “Failed.”

This issue occurs when the platform cannot confidently classify a document according to the minimum thresholds set in your Upload Profile.

To prevent this from happening in the future, please review the configuration guidelines described in the following article:
🔗 Upload Profile

Documents that have received the “Failed” status due to unmet classification thresholds cannot be reset or reprocessed. They must be uploaded again for successful processing.
