# Using Serial Mode to Reduce Validation Time

## Learn how to use our Serial mode to maximize efficiency in Classification and Extraction validation.

When validators work in **Serial mode**, they won’t be sent back to the overview after finishing the validation of a document. Instead, the next document is already preloaded and ready to be processed.

You can enable **Serial mode** in the top-right corner of the **Separation**, **Classification** or **Extraction** overview.

**Changes in Serial Mode**

1. **Skip** – If a validator is unsure about the classification of a document, they can **skip** it and move on to the next one.
2. **Validation Mode Indicator** – Once you start Serial mode, the validation mode box shows **“Serial mode.”** You can switch between *Single* and *Serial* mode at any point by clicking the validation mode box.
